“What we once enjoyed and deeply loved we can never lose, For all that we love deeply becomes a part of us.”
― Helen Keller
It’s common for people to say that you need closure after someone you love dies, or, you will feel better once you get closure. Closure is not what we need, though, is it? We don’t need to shut that door of love. We don’t. Adapting, incorporating, gradually getting used to our new reality, we need those things, but not closure, because we don’t stop loving them just because they’re aren’t here, do we? Our loved ones are a part of us and they continue to be a part of us after death. They do. It’s only that how they are a part of us, changes.
